Our Practice

 

The  Kids Care Clinic is a pediatric group specializing in behavioural health. Our services include; behavioural consultations, newborn care, obesity, adolescent health, general health and more. 

 

The Kids Care Clinic is a part of The Whitby Clinic and is located in Whitby, Ontario.  The Kids Care Clinic has a great support network of over 6 physicians and access to on-site lab diagnostics, ultrasounds, x-rays and an urgent care clinic with a pharmacy. 

Our Doctor
Robin Baweja, MD

Our pediatrician Dr. Robin Baweja has over 10 years of medical experience. She attended the University of Toronto, graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Science. She completed medical school at the American University of the Caribbean (AUC) in St. Marteen, Netherlands Antilles and completed her paediatric residency at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. Dr. Baweja then worked as a hospital-based physician at the Children’s National Medical Centre in Washington, D.C. for 5 years before transitioning to the Oshawa Care Clinic, where she has been for 4 years. Being a Toronto native, Dr. Baweja has enjoyed being able to open up her practice where she grew up in and looks forward to continuing to serve the Oshawa community. 

 

Dr. Baweja's medical interests include behavioural health in young and adolescent children, specializing in anxiety, ADHD, obesity, asthma, feeding issues, as well as newborn and general pediatric care. 

 

Outside of work, Dr. Baweja spends most of her time with her husband and her three children: her seven-year-old daughter, and two-year-old twins. She also enjoys outdoor activities, yoga, and meditation.

Our Staff
Julie A. Watson MScN, NP-Pediatrics

Julie is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) who is passionate about working with children and families, and supporting them in meeting their personal goals for health and wellbeing. She received her undergraduate Nursing degree from McMaster University, her Masters of Nursing degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and she has been a board certified NP in Ontario since 2008. Julie has worked extensively at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, providing care to children with medical complexity in the departments of Pediatric Medicine, and Haematology/Oncology. In addition to her clinical role and providing patient care, she was also a dedicated champion and leader of many quality improvement and patient safety initiatives at the hospital. Julie is a proud mom to her three growing children, and works hard to maintain a good work life balance. She and her husband, the kids, their rescue dog and 2 guinea pigs, all live together in east Scarborough. Some of their favourite hobbies include: camping, hiking, skiing, gardening, and family movie nights. Julie is excited to have joined Dr. Baweja’s practice, and her new role in the Clinic. She looks forward to working with your child and family, and helping to meet your health care needs.

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Robin Baweja is going to be a first time author. She has wrote her first Children's Book. The heart of the book will focus on Anxiety. What does it mean for a child to have anxiety? How do loved ones navigate their struggle?

Important tips to remember - Show excitement and speak positively to your child. Explain to them how each school year is filled with new adventures and experiences. And most importantly, spend the last weeks of summer, preparing your child for this new start.
